Dagmar is an authentic cinema with class. The bar and service feels like a step into the past.
The theaters however are also a bit dated.
A gem I'm mid Copenhagen!
Nice cinema with everything you need: beer, snacks, popcorn. Cool café inside too.
Very good looking and cozy. Good café, plenty of space to sit down and wait before entering the room. Prices aren't different from other cinemas.
One of the NFBio chain of cinemas, but the grown up version. Retrofitted into an old building, so lots of smaller theatres with more arty movies, not so much the Hollywood blockbuster type. Art Deco feel and tables and chairs in the foyer, so you can have a drink and chat before or after your movie. Bike parking out the front is often checkers. Comfy seats with high backs which recline a little bit. Perfect for a wee power nap 😉👍🍿🎥🥂🍻🌃🤸
The Dagmar movie theatre is kind of special when you first visit it, because it is more calm and old-school compared to a lot of the alternatives nearby, but with that said. I think that this old-school theme throughout the movie theatre is pretty stunning, also because it looked like that the place actually had quite a low of personality. One of the only drawbacks I've got from my Dagmar visit a couple of weeks ago, was that it was clear that I wasn't the target audience (18 year old), because the movie theaters target audience is the older generation compared to me..
Cozy old-ish cinema with polite personnel and a reasonable selection of sweets and drinks without being over-the-top. Also, it's great that their movie times are very flexible, because they usually show movies on multiple screens with overlapping intervals, making for a very easy fine-tuning of what time suits you. I use this cinema everytime for my "Biografklub Danmark" membership.
Came for a movie The Hateful Eight. Only bummer were the parking spaces for bicycles, they are immensely full and something needs to be done, considering how 90% of the Danes cycle they need to have more bicycle parking. Other than that the theatre was good, sound system was good, no complains.
I really like this cinema. Not because of huge screens and amazing sound (on that front I think it's average), but because it feels very cosy. Almost as relaxing as seeing a movie at home. They also have a nice cafe you can chill in, while you're waiting for your movie to start.
